Any tool compatible with MCP (Model Context Protocol) works out of the box — including Claude.ai, ChatGPT (via MCP bridge), and OpenClaw. We're adding new integrations constantly, and you can connect your own tools using the MCP SDK.
Your context is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every row is isolated to your account. Synapse can read your topics on the server — that is what makes search across them possible — but it never uses your data for training and never shares it with third parties. AI tools reach it through scoped, temporary tokens you authorize. You can delete any topic at any time.
Synapse runs as a context server via MCP. When you reference a topic in an AI tool, it asks Synapse for that topic and loads it into the current session. Your agent does the asking — say "continue #topic-name" and it picks up where you left off.
